Privacy Policy
Idle Turret is available on Android through Google Play.
Your game data
Idle Turret stores all game progress locally on your device. The game asks you to sign in with Google once, and a copy of your save is backed up to our Firebase database so it can follow you between devices, see the next section. The cloud copy also stores a random identifier for each install of the game and the time of your latest session; these are used only to stop two devices from overwriting each other's progress. We run no analytics, and we never sell or share personal data with anyone.
Google sign-in
Idle Turret asks you to sign in with your Google account once, when you first start the game, so your progress can be backed up to the cloud and follow you between devices. Google provides the game your account's user ID, display name, and avatar, which are used only to show who is signed in and to back up your save to our Firebase database, readable only by your own Google account. After that one-time sign-in, the game works offline. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove the game's access at any time in your Google account settings.
Your Google user ID and display name are used to sync your save; your email address is part of your Google account record in our sign-in provider (Firebase Authentication) and is also kept on your device; the game uses it only to show who is signed in and never shares it.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account from inside the game at any time. Open INFO, go to the Help tab, scroll to the Privacy & Terms card, and tap DELETE ACCOUNT. After you confirm, the game immediately and permanently deletes your cloud save from our Firebase database and deletes the Google account link itself (your Firebase user record), and then wipes the game's progress and the stored sign-in details from that device. None of it can be recovered afterwards, by you or by us. You need to be online and signed in for this, because the deletion happens on our database as you tap.
If you would rather not do it in the app, email [email protected] from the Google account you signed in with, and we will delete your cloud save and account link within 30 days.
Two things are outside what we hold, so deleting your account cannot remove them. Records of purchases you made through Google Play are kept by Google as the seller, and are governed by the Google Privacy Policy — including whatever you already bought, which remains governed by Google Play's own terms and refund policy. Ad data associated with your device's advertising identifier is held by Google AdMob under the same policy; you can reset or delete that identifier in your device's settings.
Optional rewarded ads
Where available, Idle Turret may offer optional video ads you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game boost. No ad ever plays without you tapping to start it. Ads are served by Google AdMob; its use of your device's advertising identifier is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can always play without ever watching an ad.
Optional in-app purchases
Where available, Idle Turret offers optional in-app purchases (for example, core packs and cosmetic items) processed entirely by Google Play's billing system. We never see or store your payment details — Google provides us only a confirmation that a purchase was made so the game can deliver what you bought. The game keeps a record of which packs you bought (purchase identifiers) in your cloud save, so your purchases restore on any device you sign in on. Purchases are always optional, are clearly priced before you buy, and grant no data-collecting features.
Children
Idle Turret is designed for a general audience and contains no chat or user-generated content. The only personal data it handles is the Google account name and ID used for sign-in and cloud backup, plus the email address held in the Google account record in our sign-in provider and kept on the device, used only to show who is signed in and never shared, as described above. Any ads are strictly optional rewarded videos the player chooses to start.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date before it takes effect.
